FORMER LYFT, UBER EXECUTIVE JOINS NEVADA POLICY AS FELLOW
Cameron Belt, Economist, joins the Nevada Policy Team
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Nevada Policy is excited to announce a new Fellow to its policy team, Cameron Belt. Belt has been working as a research associate for the last 10 years on special projects and will now be transitioning to a Fellowship.
Belt is an economist, researcher, and business builder. With a background working as an executive at Lyft and Uber, focusing on strategy, operations, and analytics, Belt has built his career with a mission in mind: to develop private solutions to public problems.
The core of Belt’s work at Nevada Policy will be around identifying areas where those who build businesses are being held back in ways they shouldn’t be. Previously, Belt has done studies for Nevada Policy about regulatory sandboxes and state permissions versus market possibilities. Going forward, he will continue to work to identify at Nevada’s state level what is in the way of progress for the implementation of new, innovative business ideas.
Belt states: “I am thrilled to be working with Nevada Policy to identify legislative solutions to allow entrepreneurs and business builders to take their ideas out of their minds and put them into real practice. Identifying state government barriers and encouraging legislative solutions to them will allow Nevada to remain as business friendly as possible. The key to Nevada’s continued economic growth is limiting government barriers and encouraging innovative solutions to the needs of our people.”
In addition to his Fellowship with Nevada Policy, Belt is also currently the Senior Economist and Research Director at RCG Economics and has an upcoming book release titled “Economics for Busy People.”
