At Nevada Policy, we believe that clear, courageous communication can change everything. This year our peers across the country took notice. We are honored to share that Nevada Policy was named a finalist for the State Policy Network’s Communications Excellence Award for Best Campaign.
This recognition is a reflection of what happens when strategy, creativity, and conviction work together. Our President, John Tsarpalas, was also invited to sit on a panel during the event, where he shared insights on building campaigns that stand out and make a difference. His message was simple: when you focus on clarity, truth, and connection, you can cut through the noise and guide people toward freedom-driven solutions.
The Fight Against Question 3
One of the standout examples is our Stop Question 3 campaign, which rallied Nevadans against Ranked Choice Voting (RCV). If you were here for that fight, you remember the stakes were high and the messaging battle was fierce. Our team leaned into bold storytelling, grassroots connection, and fact-driven clarity. Instead of overwhelming people with jargon, we spoke directly to their lived experiences.
We reminded Nevadans what was at risk: a confusing voting system that would dilute voices, create chaos at the ballot box, and weaken accountability. Then we showed them the alternative, a Nevada where elections are simple, strong, and trustworthy.
The results were clear. Voters stopped Question 3 and kept Nevada elections safe from an experiment they never truly wanted. That campaign is a key reason Nevada Policy was recognized nationally as a leader in communications excellence.
Looking Ahead
For us, being a finalist among so many respected organizations was an honor in itself. It is a reminder that Nevada Policy is part of something much bigger, a movement of leaders across the nation who are innovating, building, and advancing freedom in bold new ways.
The recognition is meaningful, but what matters most is what comes next. We look forward to taking the lessons learned from these campaigns and continuing to use our strategies to make an even bigger impact for Nevadans. This is not about one campaign or one award. It is about ensuring that every Nevadan has a voice in building a freer and stronger future.
