This quarter, we relaunched Transparent Nevada with a brand-new site, replacing an outdated platform with a modern, easier-to-use tool. The new site makes it simpler than ever for Nevadans to search public salaries and pensions, putting government transparency just a few clicks away.
Over the past several months, our team dug into government spending across Nevada, uncovering waste, questionable expenditures, and bureaucratic overreach one investigation at a time. Those findings are now coming together into the Piggy Booklet, a single resource that will put real examples of government waste directly in front of taxpayers and lawmakers, launching next week.
Data centers are multiplying across Nevada — 78 facilities operating or planned, with more announced every month — and residents keep asking the same three questions: how much water will it use, what will it do to power bills, and is the state getting a fair deal for the tax breaks. This quarter we built an interactive tool that answers all three with real numbers, not talking points, including a live map of every project statewide.
This quarter, Nevada Policy’s research kept landing in front of the people who shape public opinion and public policy. Reporters and editors at the state’s leading outlets, along with a national podcast audience, turned to our experts 14 times for insight on the issues shaping Nevada’s future, from responsible land use to a stronger, more diversified economy.

Anahit Baghshetsyan wrote articles on teacher union tactics and short-term rental overreach, while our op-eds section tackled data centers and federal land’s role in housing costs.
