Can you fix politics by reforming the election system?

Pretty much everyone seems to agree that our political world is pretty broken right now… How to fix it, however, is a matter of some debate.

At least one group in Nevada believes changing the way we elect our representatives could have an outsized impact to improve political collaboration. Dough Goodman, founder and executive director of Nevadans for Election Reform, is one of the backers of an effort to bring “ranked choice voting” to Nevada. He explains his vision for our electoral system, why he thinks it will help with our political culture, and how it would actually work in practice.
