Nevada Policy, the Silver State’s leading authority on public policy and free markets, is introducing a new look today.
Founded in 1991 as the Nevada Policy Research Institute, the nonprofit is shortening its public name to Nevada Policy. In the past, the organization has been referred to by the acronym NPRI, which is similar to the acronym for National Public Radio.
The shortened name also underscores Nevada Policy’s mission of focusing on Silver State policy and efforts to provide alternatives to government solutions, including advocating for increased opportunity, freedom and accountability.
“We believe that an empowered, educated populace is essential to the success of our society,” Nevada Policy President John Tsarpalas said. “Over the years, our research has been instrumental in informing current and potential residents, business owners, media groups and lawmakers.”
Included in the updated look is a new logo, which will appear on Nevada Policy’s website, papers, reports and correspondence.
Nevada Policy will continue working to help all Nevadans to understand the importance of free market ideas and what they mean for the future of our state, Tsarpalas said.
“We’re interested in appealing to all Nevadans, whether they’re teens, retirees or somewhere in between, about the importance of free market ideas and what they mean for the state’s future,” Tsarpalas said. “That’s why we focus on several different areas – from school choice and worker freedom to election integrity and government transparency.”
